Sorry for being a bit ‘hands off’ the last week — had a long weekend in Hong Kong, but managed to get in a spot of work on WP-United for phpBB3.

I also upgraded a personal hobby site that uses WP-United to phpBB3. It took a fair amount of time, but I’m pleased with the results. The key stumbling block was actually the Gallery2 integration for phpBB3, which isn’t really ‘ready’ yet and required quite a bit of work (and is still buggy).

If you check out the site, you’ll see “Library” posts on the portal page (it integrates with phpBB3 Portal) — and you can go to the Library to see the integration in action. No login integration for anyone other than admins, but it is a fairly run-of-the-mill usage of WP-United to integrate a CMS into phpBB3.

The testing means that it is nearly time to release something for phpBB3
