WP-United integrates phpBB and WordPress in a way that gives you much more than the sum of their parts!

User integration: Including single sign-on, synchronized profiles and avatars, and user management. Works with external registration modules such as social login plugins. Users in phpBB get accounts in WordPress and vice versa. Completely controllable and customizable by setting permissions for who can integrate and at what level, using a unique drag-and-drop interface. Want a one-click registration whereupon users can interact with content across your site? WP-United can do that.
Template integration: Have your phpBB forum appear inside your WordPress site. Or vice-versa; integrate your WordPress blog inside your phpBB header and footer. WP-United even includes a “one-click” mode that analyses your theme’s CSS and modifies it on the fly to avoid CSS and HTML conflicts. This is no iFrame solution, it is a complete and automatic template integration.
Behaviour integration: Use phpBB smilies and word censor features in WordPress, and sync users’ Gravatars in phpBB. Want users to have their Gravatar in phpBB without having to do anything? WP-United can do that. Want to drop in some custom emoticons onto your server and have them available on your WordPress posting form automatically? WP-United does that too!
Cross-posting: Post something in WordPress and have it cross-posted to your forum — Automatically or manually, you choose! Once an item is cross-posted, comments in phpBB and WordPress can be set to sync up under the blog item too! Post a new item on your blog, and an excerpt (or full post!) appears in the forum you choose. Someone comments on the forum and you can see it both in WordPress and phpBB. Widgets: WP-United also includes eight widgets for you to drop into your WordPress page. Each widget is configurable and displays a wealth of forum information to increase engagement on your site:
- Latest forum posts: A list of the latest posts in your forum, on any WordPress page.
- Latest forum topics: A list of the latest posts in your forum, on any WordPress page.
- Users online list: Your site is a community, so why not show who is currently online, complete with phpBB profile links and group colouring.
- Forum statistics: How many topics, posts and users you have, among other items. Show off how successful your community is and encourage users to dive in!
- An integrated login/meta/avatar/profile block: This works whether you have enabled single sign-on or not!
- Birthday list: Pulls a list of users who have birthdays today and gives them pride of place on any WordPress page.
- Quick poll: Select from active phpBB polls in an ajax widget and have them appear anywhere in WordPress. The polls are native phpBB polls so you have a wealth of options available — and they display in just one click. The polls display and are updated by AJAX, and you can have multiple polls per page. Much better than either phpBB or WordPress alone!
- Forum top bar: A prosilver bar, complete with the phpBB breadcrumb navigation that show your location in WordPress
